Each course is designed so that youwill notice the effects after just a few meetings.Regardless of your level, youwill find something for yourself.

1. Conversations – fluency and ease of speaking

Do you finally want to speak without hesitation? This course is pure practice of conversation, real situations, living language. No theory, just speech!

2. Grammar Booster

Quickly and effectively refresh your grammar! Clear explanations, simple patterns, and plenty of practice that will make everything start to "click."

3. Spanish on the Go — Intensive (1 week or 2 weeks)

Perfect before a trip! You will learn everything you need to manage at the airport, in a restaurant, or at a hotel.

4. Spanish on the Go — Weekend / Two-Weekend

For the busy ones! A complete survival package of Spanish in a convenient format of weekend meetings.

5. Intensive Course (4 weeks)

Daily learning = quick results. A half-level jump in a month? Yes — it's possible.

6. Semi-Intensive Course (8 weeks)

The golden mean: fast pace, but without overload. Ideal if you want to work regularly on your Spanish.

Levels of Teaching

The levels of the courses are in accordance with the guidelines of the European Language Portfolio (ELP) developed by the Council of Europe. Upon completing a given level, the student acquires the following skills:

A → Learning and achieving language skills that allow communication at thebasic level.

Duration

The levels consist of courses lasting 30 or 60 teaching hours* and covering the following number of hours:

• Level A1 (Access): 60 hours (1 course of 60 hours: A1.1 or 2 courses of 30 hours: A1.1 and A1.2)
• Level A2 (Platform): 120 hours (2 courses of 60 hours: A2.1 and A2.2 or 4 courses of 30 hours: A2.1, A2.2, A2.3, and A2.4)
• Level B1 (Threshold): 120 hours (2 courses of 60 hours: B1.1 and B1.2)
• Level B2 (Advanced): 180 hours (3 courses of 60 hours: B2.1, B2.2, B2.3)
• Level C1 (Mastery): 180 hours (3 courses of 60 hours: C1.1, C1.2, C1.3)

*A teaching hour is 45 minutes.

Conversational Courses

Conversational coursesare designed for people who want to use Spanish freely, without the need to follow a rigid grammar program. It’s the perfect option for those who wish to maintain contact with the language, practice speaking in natural situations, and enjoy conversations in Spanish. We have three levels: A, B, and C.

Methodology

The foundation of our teaching system is communication. Our goal is the development of communication skills. To this end, during classes, we combine various skills: oral and written expression (production) with listening comprehension and reading comprehension (reception).

Knowledge of grammar is also essential for language learning. In our courses, grammar is not an end in itself, but rather the foundation upon which language proficiency is built.

Our instructors use the most current methodological solutions, motivating students in a pleasant atmosphere to collaborate with one another.

Attendance

Since our courses are largely based on communication during lessons and collaboration among students, attendance is crucial. Moreover, to obtain a certificate with a grade from the course, attendance at at least 80% of classes is required.

Certificates

Upon completion of the course, we issue a free certificate of completion to all students who attended at least 80% of the classes and passed the course. There is also an option to obtain a paid certificate with the grade received during the course. The certificate is issued after the student has previously ordered it, and the cost of the certificate is 30 zlotys.

Instructors

Spanish is the native language of most instructors at Academia Sombrero in the Zaspa Cultural Center. All instructors have higher education, generally in the humanities. They also have specialized training in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. Some of them are authors of textbooks, dictionaries, and professional publications.

The names of the teachers conducting the classes are not known until the start date of the course. Academia Sombrero reserves the right to change the teacher of a given group for organizational reasons.

Cancellation of Groups

Academia Sombrero reserves the right to cancel or combine groups if the minimum required to form a group (6 people for standard courses) is not met. In such situations, the student has the option to change groups or receive a full refund of the amount paid for the course.
